Busy, busy weekend

Friday afternoon we left for Rice Lake (about a 4 hour drive from Appleton). The kids were not too happy to sit in their car seats for 4 hours! They slept for about 1 hour and cried/screamed the rest of the trip! When we arrived at Grandpa & Grandma's the kids were very happy to get out and run around. They were up way past their bed time but still woke up early on Saturday morning.

Saturday we spent most of the day outside. Gavin enjoyed seeing the sheep and baby lambs, riding on the four wheeler with Dad and looking at Grandpa's tractor. Abby also liked seeing the sheep and baby lambs but was not too interested in the four wheeler or tractor! Daddy took the kids for a ride on the four wheeler around the yard and Abby wanted off right away! Gavin would ride all day if you would let him! In the afternoon I had a ThirtyOne party and my friend Emily brought her three kids over! Gavin and Abby loved playing with Jason, Breanna and Taylor!

Sunday we got up and had breakfast and then hit the road. We had to be in Green Bay in the afternoon for Pat's Grandma's 92nd birthday. The kids had fun playing outside and visiting with relatives until about 5:00 when the hit the wall and were ready to go home! We ate quickly and headed back home. Both kids were in bed by 6:30 and Mom was in bed at 7! It was a very fun but LONG weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend

On Saturday I took the kids to the NEW Zoo. The plan was to meet a friend and her kids there but it didn't work out so it ended up being just me and the kids! Overall they did really well. We took a break to share some popcorn and water and Abby is not a big fan of sharing! Everytime Gavin tried to get some popcorn she would scream. Gavin on the other hand is very good at sharing with his sister...but I am not sure if he likes sharing or just doesn't like hearing her scream!

On Sunday we were supposed to have pictures taken at a park in Neenah but the weather didn't cooperate so we have to reschedule. I was not too upset about this because Gavin's mark on his face from when he fell at daycare was not cleared up yet so hopefully he will have a nice mark free face for the rescheduled date! In the afternoon the kids went to visit Grandma & Grandpa Kennedy while we went to Celebrate De Pere for a few hours. The weather was great while we were there...it didn't start to rain until after we left. It was nice to have a few hours with no kids to just sit and relax and listen to some bands.

Monday was a very long day! Gavin was up a lot Sunday night coughing and did not take a very good nap on Monday so he was really over tired and crabby all day. Abby was also a bit cranky so there were lots of tantrums and crying at our house on Monday.
